Minister of Forest Economy


Dr. Rosalie Matondo was Minister of Forest Economy, Sustainable Development and the Environment of the Republic of Congo from 2016 and 2017, when she was appointed to her current position as Minister of Forest Economy. Before becoming a Minister, she was Advisor to the Head of State, Head of Department of Forest Economics, Sustainable Development, Environment and Quality of Life, a position she held from 2013 to 2016. She also held positions as National Coordinator of the National Afforestation and Reforestation Programme (PRONAR), Manager of the National Reforestation Service (SNR) and led various forestry-related Research Units in her country. Ms. Matondo has a PhD in Agronomic Sciences from the Institute of Genetic Engineering (IGE) at the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences and has conducted research in forest genetics for many years. She is the author and co-author of numerous scientific publications.
