Ms. Bharati Pathak, Chairperson of FECOFUN (Federation of Community Forest User Groups Nepal) and focal point for FECOFUN’s Gender Policy and Advocacy Program, has an MA in Rural Development and a BA in Humanities. Since starting her leadership career at her local Makawanpur district community forest in 1999, she has served in various capacities with Community Forest User Groups (CFUG) and the FECOFUN chapters. Before being overwhelmingly elected as the Chairperson of FECOFUN 2018, she was the Treasurer and General Secretary of FECOFUN for a decade. She is a highly influential leader of Indigenous communities and is working as the global co-chair of the Dedicated Grant Mechanism managed by the World Bank. She is currently pursuing her PhD in Sociology from Parul University (Gujarat, India).
